Hello, and welcome to my humble profile!
My name is Fernando and I'm from Portugal. I'm an amateur Unity game designer and programmer, passionate about everything Game Design. Occasionally me and a few colleagues join together to plan and organize local amateur Game Jams aimed at growing our community of Portuguese amateur devs and artists.
In here you'll come accross a few of my small projects developed in the scope of my participation in these Jams, the "Master Jams". I work mostly in Unity 2D, and while I may not be an artist (by a mile), I try to create my own 2D pixel art assets to use in my games if I find the time for that.
Those games have been developed solo by me and in the span of 2 to 7 days each. Some will feature free 2D Assets (mainly character assets, but also a few others), and all are free for you to download and play. Bear in mind all of them are incomplete.
Feel free to try them and provide feedback if you so wish. Thank you for visiting!
Here you'll find:
"Jump, Break, Duck!"
This is an infinite runner made for a Jam with the theme "Rule of 3's".
The game has 3 rules centered around the number 3:
"The Last Full Moon"
This is also an infinite runner. The theme for this Jam was "Day and Night".
In this game you play as a werewolf who despises her condition. One day she grows tired of hurting innocents and she comes up with a simple plan to never transform again. She will forever run from the night, ensuring the Full Moon does not ever shine its light on her.
The game is mostly incomplete from a visual and balancing prespective. The concept of the game is simple:
"The Blind Merchant's Assistant"
This game is a resource management incremental game. The theme for this one was "The more you have, the harder it gets".
The blind merchant, called Jamie, has a desire to become rich and famous. However, beeing... well... blind, he cannot do anything on his own. As such he hired you to guide him through the vast outskirts of his town, where you will gather all sorts of resources. There are bandits out there who will try to steal from Jamie, and, again, being blind he can't even defend himself, so all you can do is tell him where to run.
The game follows a simple gameplay loop:
The game follows up on the theme in three different ways:
This game has not been balance tested and does not feature a save mechanic. As such it's hard to make a full playthrough as the game is probably too long to play in one sitting.
